Re: Interactions with stranger rapunzels in public

I've seen plenty of women in public with absolutely amazing hair, and I've complimented many of them on it over the years. The issue isn't whether complimenting a woman on her hair is appropriate. It's how you go about doing it.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with confidently and respectfully approaching someone and saying something like, "Wow, you're really pretty, and I absolutely love your hair! It's so long, and I can only imagine how much time and effort you put into taking care of it."

That's a perfectly reasonable compliment. You're acknowledging something beautiful about someone without making the interaction weird or uncomfortable.

What you don't do is walk up to a woman and say, "Oh wow, your hair is so sexy! Why don't we go back to my place, I'll show you what a hair job is, and then I'll leave a big nasty nut in your hair!"

Seriously, don't be a fucking creep.

There's a massive difference between appreciating someone's beautiful long hair and immediately making your sexual fantasies their problem. You don't need to overshare, you don't need to explain your fetish, and you certainly don't need to turn a simple compliment into some creepy sexual proposition.

And for the love of God, don't act like those weirdos who constantly bombard long-haired women on Instagram with inappropriate DMs, unsolicited sexual comments, and bizarre requests. Some women get so fed up with that kind of attention that they stop posting altogether.

Just give the compliment, be respectful, read the room, and move on. If she wants to continue the conversation, great. If she doesn't, that's perfectly fine too.

You can appreciate a woman's beautiful hair without making her uncomfortable. It really isn't that complicated.

Basically, don't act like some creepy Reddit dude who has never interacted with a woman in his life, and you'll probably be just fine.
