Humans can be and behave that way. It´s been known to happen more than once, and it´s sad.

From experience therefore, the story could sound quite plausible - if it wasn´t for one detail that we guys in this forum are experts for.

There is just no way a woman could go from short hair to hair 1 m long naturally within a year - not even if "short" here generously means a shoulder-length bob.

Many videos of long-hair journeys and the sheer biological facts (hair-growth rates!) suggest that such an achievement would take (her) about five years.

With a woman of average height, hair of one meter is about classic length or even a little longer.

No matter how much we all here dream of and wish for a girlfriend with such extraordinary hair - it just doesn´t happen overnight, and not within a year, not even with the heartiest encouragement. It takes a long time, and it´s an extreme challenge on everybody´s patience and ability to stick to something like that in the face of a lot of people trying to dissuade the woman and convince her to rather adhere to some "norm" - often enough if only just for jealousy.
